Iraqis topped the list of most foreigners buying property in Turkey in June, according to Turkish Statistical Institute data.

The Turkish Statistics Institute said on Wednesday that the Iraqis topped the list of the purchase of 429 properties, followed by the Iranians with 415 properties, then the Russians with 190 properties and Germans with 126 properties.

Statistical data showed that Kuwaitis and Britons ranked fifth in terms of foreigners buying properties, with 113 properties each during the month.

The total number of property sales to foreigners in Turkey last month was 2,689, up 5.30 percent compared with the same month in 2018.

Istanbul is the most Turkish city to sell to foreigners last month, with 1009 properties sold, followed by Antalya with 668 and Ankara with 134, followed by Yalawa with 123 and Bursa with 122 properties.

It is worth mentioning that the Iraqis topped the list of foreigners most buying real estate in the country in 2018, which made them top of the list, for the fourth year in a row, according to official data.
