The Turkish and Chinese peoples enjoy remarkable historical relations and common neighborhood ties. Belt and Road Initiative) to link China with Europe through other Asian countries via Turkey. This initiative is a very large Chinese project launched in 2013 to be on the ruins The Silk Road, which existed in the nineteenth century, and which represents the largest infrastructure project in human history, and can direct global trade to China, this project received the support of 126 countries, represented by railways to Georgia, then Azerbaijan, and across the Caspian Sea to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, China; Within the framework of this project, there are basic Turkish infrastructures represented in the Yavuz Selim Bridge on the Bosphorus, the Eurasia tunnels under the Bosphorus, the Çanakkale Bridge on the Dardanelles, and high-speed train lines.

In an important investment of $ 594 million, the China Commerce and Industry Bank bought the second highest tower in Istanbul ( Tower 205), which won a European award for the best office and best building, as well as “increasing real estate investments that make the Chinese among the first in the list of foreign buyers of Turkish real estate recently.”

Despite the significant development of relations between Turkey and China, what is said about China's treatment of the Muslim Uyghur minority, which has religious and linguistic ties with the Turks, casts a shadow over these relations. Nevertheless, China made a proposal to address this file, aware of Turkey's importance and its strategic position as a gateway to Europe and as a central country in the Islamic world.
