Despite the significant development of relations between Turkey and China, what is said about China's treatment of the Muslim Uyghur minority, which has religious and linguistic ties with the Turks, casts a shadow over these relations. Nevertheless, China made a proposal to address this file, aware of Turkey's importance and its strategic position as a gateway to Europe and as a central country in the Islamic world.
